Yesterday evening I had an email from one of Nil's friends, to say that Nil had passed away from a bacterial infection.
I knew Nil from his blog and his paintings.
He had a wonderful way with watercolour, his work so clean and bright and full of love. We chatted via the comments and Nil said to me once if we were neighbours, we would surely be great neighbours, sharing a love of watercolour and a love of dogs.
You'll be greatly missed, Nil.
Condolences to your family and friends, their loss is a great one.
Heaven gains a fabulous painter and a decent human being.
I'm proud to have had the honour of knowing you, via the net.

Oh this a sad news, Pat. I have followed Nil's blog and am a great admirer of his beautiful work. I noticed that he had not posted for some time. So sorry.

Oh Pat that is so sad. I only recently found Nil's blog and his wonderful artwork. He will be missed by many I'm sure. :-(

ReplyDeletePat, this is very sad! I followwed Nil's blog and used to chat with him. One day he just stopped bloggin and I tried to make contact with him, I left messages, I emailed him but I got no answer and I was very sorry because he was a wonderful person and artist.How did you know what happened to him? He lived in a town not very far from mine, and I never got an answer about him! Sad news...
