Today's painting is one of a Spitfire, taking flight in a blue sky.
A little different from my favourite subjects, but sometimes you have to stretch your comfort zone a bit - so this is me doing just that!
I hope you like the painting.
Taking Flight
As always, painted on the beautiful paper that is Saunders Waterford, created by St Cuthbert's Mill.
The Original is not available, but prints can be obtained from Elite Framing, Cupar. HERE

I like the angle you've chosen. Its nice to see something different.
ReplyDeleteThis one really works at all levels (excuse pun), Pat. I could see prints of this one selling at Airshows.
ReplyDeleteThanks, John. Even for the pun ;-)
DeleteWell I was RAF Aircrew for 25 years and it works at my level ;)
DeleteOh my! I never knew - what a huge compliment! Thank you xx
DeletePat this is a wonderful stretch out of your comfort zone. That plane looks so real against the sky. Love it. Hope you have a super week. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks Debbie. I'm glad you love it. Good to know out of the ordinary can be loved too.
DeleteMaybe out of your comfort zone, but a beautiful painting!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judy. I'm quite enamoured of it.
DeleteFab painting Pat. We are not far from Duxford IWM, and we see Spitfires fairly often throughout the summer.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon. I know I must have it right when you think it's fab and you see them frequently.
DeleteWOW! I'm impressed! ♥♥♥♥
ReplyDeleteWhy, thank you! *takes a bow*
