Eastertime..........

Good morning my blogging friends,

Wishing you all an Easter filled with love and happiness.

... and thank you, Lord, for your sacrifice, on the first Good Friday.

The name of this painting, Immolatum, comes from the beautiful Ave Verum Corpus - and it means "Sacrifice"

Have a blessed Easter, all .
xx

  9. Hi Pat. Thanks for your Post above. It is a magnificent painting and made me pause to reflect. The other day a man at the gallery was laughing with some friends because they were having a party Sunday and calling it "Jesus got Nailed" party. it was so sad to hear this and offensive, but i realized Jesus would say, "Forgive them Father for they know not what they do." Just like those folks at the foot of the cross that day.

Hope all is well there with you. Thanks for your visit and of course you may have my autograph. Smile!
I need a trip across the pond. Then i could hand it to you in person! That be good.....

  13. Thank you everyone.
We get a four day break over Easter here in the UK, with both Good Friday and Easter Monday off :)

Ross, I'm known for looking on the bright side, so I will say at least those men knew who Jesus was...and one day they'll have to face Him and like all who've been crass, won't they feel foolish? :)
Now I'm serious, if you ever do come across the pond, would love to meet you! A North Light artist in my humble abode.. happy days!

Gabriele, thank you. You are so kind with your praise. xx
