Isn't that always the way?
We were having a poppy challenge over on Painting Friends ( click HERE for website) so I decided to join in .
I took the photo and cropped it further, because I like those images where you are in the heart of the flower.

I like the close-up view also, and it still is unmistakenly a poppy! Lovely colours and wet in wet effects in the petals!

ReplyDeleteI do like the close up. I'll have to remember this when I start learning applique here soon. I want to make some really artsy floral quilts. In never thought to zoom in to the center. I need your little magni-viewer!

ReplyDeletePoppies are my favorite flowers! I have been spriinkling seeds all over the garden just recently in the hope that some might spring up! Your painting is lovely! This is a pink poppy rather than red? I have never seen one of those :0)

ReplyDeleteI love poppies too, Sandra, from the showy ones to the simple ones - and yes, this is a pink rather than red. I've yet to tackle the blue poppy!
