Incandescant

Today's painting is an abstract that was inspired by the shadows on the ceiling as we watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games !
I quickly sketched the pattern and returned to the sketch later to make this painting. 

I didn't want to paint the picture in shadow colours, so instead I took the bright, cheerful and uplifting reds, oranges and yellows.

I hope you enjoy it.

    Wow, beautiful and interesting pattern and colours, Pat! At first sight it looks an abstract but I can see the Olympic flames in it!

    Thanks, Judy. It does have Olympic flame in it, but more too, I think. I see birds on a wire too!

    I'm not usually attracted to abstract, but this is a lovely piece, Pat, that drew me in. What an interesting moment of inspiration!

    I love your abstract.. It is a very happy painting. When I first saw it, it reminded me of birds sitting in a row.
    I have only painted one abstract in all my years of painting..
