This watercolour and ink is one of those. Different.
Also, I struggled to think of a name for this painting, so all suggestions gratefully received! Until then, P1 (for primate) will do.
P1
the painting is on St Cuthbert's Mill Saunders Waterford Paper - and is 8x11" in size.
Very handsome fella, P1! :)
ReplyDeletethanks, Robin!
DeleteHow about monkey business :)
ReplyDeleteHe certainly looks like he's been up to monkey business, doesn't he?
DeleteDreaming
ReplyDeleteThere is a certain wistful quality in his demeanour, as if he was dreaming of far away forests. Maybe he was, because this was a zoo photo.
DeleteWhat a grand drawing Pat...love the way you accented his eyes with the blue strip. Always enjoy seeing your art friend. Take care and have a simply delightful day. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie. I fancied doing something different, and I'm glad you liked it.
DeleteIs he in jail?
ReplyDeleteI could see why you'd think so, but not specifically. The photo was from a zoo.
DeleteIt is a great portrait, Pat! Don't ask me for a name, I am terrible at names.
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked him, Judy. Usually I'm okay with names, but fancied a bit of input.
DeleteI had a suggestion from a friend to call him Evolution - which made me think of evolving the painting in a few different ways, so now there'll be a series! xx
Hey Pat, long time no see. For me too!
ReplyDeleteBut so good to see you and thanks for the visit. Yes I'm still hanging around.
I do like your ape drawing, yes he's different alright, and done very well.
oh, you could call him Evo for short. !!
