In this stage I have painted the ears and the tongue with a glaze of rose madder and deepened the glaze in parts.
The parts I have deepened will be the most visible parts in the finished painting.
For instance, although the ears have a glaze all over them, only the deepest "pink" will not be covered by a layer of paint to represent fur.
