    SUperb painting Pat - the choice of background colour is really unusual for a butterfly/floral picture, but it works really well, gives the painting a whole different feel.

    The background is indeed unusual for a painting of a flower and butterfly...but that's good! This painting has a mysterious quality to it and the background is gorgeous. You have unified the various elements by repeating that yellow of the butterfly. Congratulations on a beautiful painting.
