Owl 3 & 4

I painted in a couple of slender tree trunks on the right of the painting, to suggest that the owl is coming out from a group of trees.
In the next stage, I have painted his eyes. They give me the feel for the character of the owl.

  1. Wow! Pat, I really like this! It has a 'mysterious' feel. I think the sky is perfect for the subject too. Can't wait to see it finished!!

  8. This gave me a start at first!! But then when I read it was an owl and looked at it closely... I'll tell you, Pat, you are right on the mark! Just last summer, we were at our very old home that needs refurbishing (in a village) when an owl swooped around us - looking much like this fellow - as if to dare us to invade his house! They really are amazing creatures! Looking forward to seeing this painting!
Thanks so much for your prayers for Edward! Keep sending them his way, please!
    Blessings!
