Missy and the Pink Piggy

Its piggy time here !
Not only did we have Oscar who I painted, but we had a surprise gift in the mail of a little pink piggy for Missy.

It came with a card from the lovely Nicola and a photo of the diamond Roxy, who we met recently at Discover Dogs. See HERE

Missy was intrigued by the smells in the padded envelope

She was a good girl as I asked her to "Wait" after I placed the pig on the floor.
Oh but those eyes! She can certainly plead with them :)

Then I told her "go on then" and she got stuck straight in!

After ten minutes or so, she decided to it might be more relaxing to lie down and chew on piggy :)

and when she was done, what a self satisfied look!

Missy really enjoyed playing with Piggy  -she has so far taken the label off, but left the stuffing intact! Which is quite something for a russell. Piggy could be the new favourite :)  Thanks, Nic! xx

  7. I love it when our pets get a new present, they always know that it's for them. I think Missy was a good girl waiting like that.

  8. Oh Pat - I couldn't appreciate your doggy posts anymore than I do right now. Our dog almost died very suddenly and without warning last Saturday. Thankfully after one of the worst days we have ever had having been told she had a 50/50 chance of surviving, she is back home recovering from a massive op, but she is okay and getting back to her usual self. I can't begin to imagine life without her! :0)

  10. Thanks everyone, glad you enjoyed the post.
Yes, Missy is a good girl and the training we both have done together creates a great bond and she does listen to me.
Sandra, I'm so sorry - I know how upsetting that is, remembering when Missy had to have the cancer lump removed. Will keep your dog in thought and prayer for a speedy return to good health xx

  11. Hello Pat, very nice your dog Misy! I had a dog, Vega, an irish setter who's dead 3 years ago. Her death was terrible for us so when I see every dog is for me an emotion.
I try sometimes to leave your comment but may be I am unable or I have a problem to write you.
I like very much your still life for the colors and the atmosphere.
    Ciao, a presto, Floriana

  19. Wonderful sequence of photo's Pat. Missy reminds me very much of my Jack Russell, Sally, in the way she's played with Piggy.
