Hope you've all had a wonderful weekend.
For my Z painting, I chose to paint
Zen Rock Garden
There's something quite fascinating about this painting, because if you stare at it long enough the rocks seem to levitate!
Thank you all so much for sticking with me through the Alphabet series.
I hope you've enjoyed them, and if you would like to see them all together go HERE
Now I'm off to visit all your blogs :)
Ta-ta for now!
What a wonderful peaceful ending of the series! And indeed I can see them levitate! :) Those Zen rocks are so fascinating.
ReplyDeleteHi Pat,
ReplyDeleteFascinating rock garden. It looks so peaceful there. I like the presence of red rock in the pile. Beautiful.
And when you are done, the alphabet tells us a bit about you, don't you agree? Anyway my favorites would be the canoe, diamond, fluke, Missy, Oscar...but wait, that would tell you a bit about me! Wonderful alphabet and I commend you for completing it! (That says a bit about you also).
ReplyDeleteHi Pat, nice painting of an interesting and unusual subject. Ciao!
ReplyDeleteEs una acuarela adorable y el tema muy original. Un abrazo!!
ReplyDeleteNot only that, but the dots on the right start to move! How did you do that???
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a 'z' drawing! And such an interesting subject to paint. I really love the light effects :0)
ReplyDeleteWow! You are very creative, Pat. I'd never thought of a Rock Garden for Zen. Now I'll wait to see the rocks levitating! xx
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on reaching the end of the alphabet! Zen garden is a clever choice.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judy. Its a lovely optical illusion, isn't it ? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Cora. I thought the red would give it a little more interest :) xx
Thank you Susan. I don't know what my alphabet says about me, apart from my subjects are diverse  xx
Thanks Tito, glad you liked it :) xx
ReplyDeleteThank you Sonia, I like to be a little different :) xx
So they do, Kathryn! Pale background, while the wash is wet, flick in a darker sticky mix of the same colour - and that's how I did it! xx
Thank you Sandra. I really enjoyed painting this one, funnily enough, it was calm to paint, also :) xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Anamaria. I'm happy when anyone thinks me creative :) xx
Thank you Linda. Its at least not a zebra  xx
I love it! It's got a surreal, Roger Dean album cover style to it (showing my age now). Do you have a real physical Zen garden then, Pat?
ReplyDeleteThey really do!! Oh... I so love visiting at your site...it's always such a treat.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Ann
What a finish to your series. It's quite something to see the full series all together . Now I'm wondering what you will get up to next :-)
ReplyDeleteI like your cairn!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your alphabet, Pat! So many wonderful paintings, and interesting ideas for some of the letters!
ReplyDeleteHi Pat, well you are to be congratulated for completing your goal.. and what a goal it was.
ReplyDeleteand I'm still looking ,, how long? LOL ! BJ
A lovely peaceful painting Pat. Congratulations on reaching the end of the alphabet. ;-)
ReplyDeleteYou are right, difficult to look without the spots hopping up and down, very well done !
ReplyDeleteNice paintings!
ReplyDeleteVery peaceful! Arianna xx
ReplyDeleteThose rocks really do seem to levitate, don't they? Very cool!
ReplyDeleteI am going to 'catch up' now on your blogs. No need to reply to them. I'll say something when something strikes my fancy. xx
