First Frost

It seems forever since I painted and I've missed it like fury!
I have been busy with the novel, you see.

but the call of watercolour was strong so I picked up the brushes again.
I decided to go dark and all experimental with this one.
Its actually split opinion between me and hubby, I like it, he doesn't!

ah well, we don't agree on everything. I enjoyed painting it, that's the main thing :)

    This is so good Pat, dramatic and shows up the frost. No mistaking the time of year. Very good.

    Well, as you know, I always love light against dark - No surprises there! So I'm with you - this is just wonderful! And such a challenging subject too - I certainly wouldn't have attempted it! :0)

    I love the darks and the subject, Pat. The green is beautiful!
    You inspire me to try and find the photos I took of rose hips, frosted like this, in early morning light.

    That's the beauty of art. There doesn't seem to be a right or wrong just a matter of taste and opinion. My opinion is that I like this one

    Pat I like it - that dark background really adds contrast. Made me smile when you mentioned your husband because I am always running my art past mine and sometimes he likes it and sometimes he doesn't but he is always honest and that is what I want even if it hurts at times (LOL).
