Cathedral Roses
This is my latest painting - Cathedral Roses.
All of the elements which make it up are right here in my garden.
No having to travel miles for inspiration, sometimes its right under your nose.
And the rose smells beautiful too!

I love your flowers Pat. And I'm proud to say I named Ferdinand who is nosing into the painting -- I won't say where. :O)
ReplyDeleteIndeed you did name Ferdinand - and he has been in a couple of my paintings now.
ReplyDeleteHe's adorable - and the name is perfect!
Yep there he is looking all regal.
ReplyDeleteHe does have a certain bearing about him. Its what attracted me to him in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHe's also useful as a foil to other elements, like the rose and the window trellis.
