I've painted the darker colouring of Tilly, then proceeded to paint a dark shadow on the left hand side of her body. It leaves the feeling of sunlight striking her beautiful face.
Here they are, all finished - the gorgeous couple.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your completion! makes me want to snuggle with my Frosty Mugs. I am learning shading and it takes time. With pencil I had an easier time.

ReplyDeleteI love the feeling of sunshine in this painting :)
Wonderful! I especially love the touch of sunlight on Tilly's face. I've really enjoyed this step-by-step series of posts.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much xx
ReplyDeleteGlad you've enjoyed the step by step. The sunlight was one of the things I loved about the photo I worked from - so it pleases me no end that you noticed and loved it :)
I think the sunlight looks so real and I can just feel the sensation the dogs are feeling lying there -- friendship and the comfort of warm sunlight.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie. xx
