I started painting Bryan first, as of the two dogs he is lying beneath Tilly.
I wanted to make him feel anchored in the painting before I attempted to paint her.
This is quite a different painting from my usual dogs, in that the eyes are not really visible in either. I cannot do my usual method of painting the eyes first to get the feel of the dog - but I enjoy the challenge .

ReplyDeleteThanks, Beryl. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Pat! I think following an artist's journey is really neat. It helps to inspire me to make progress as well. I think it's super fellow dog bloggers find eachother virtually. Thanx for stopping by my dog blog, too.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I'll be stopping by again, I want to see how your scrapboards turn out! xx
ReplyDeleteHe is turning out FAB!! if Tilly turns out 1/2 as good that is going to be a snuggly lovely painting that Sarah will treasure!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a great thing you do capturing a moment with our dogs forever
Thanks, Pam. xx
ReplyDeleteAt this stage, Bryan is nearly there, but needs some sharpening yet.
I hope it will be a painting that Sarah will treasure :)
