originally I was going to count the pencil as the J painting, but then I decided to paint the jellyfish using a limited palette .. French ultramarine, indigo and cadmium orange
Jellyfish II : the colours of my life
(a journey with watercolour and my dog)
This makes it seem like a very friendly jellyfish that is just going to glide past me in a very graceful way... But... the fire of its sting is still there in the orange color within! :)

Hi Pat, davvero deliziosa questa tua jellyfish. Ciao!
ReplyDeleteMi piacciono questi due colori complementari...
ReplyDeleteCiao Graziano
Pat, perfect choice of complementary colors, his work in the wet was wonderful, she is actually swimming gently.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and a hug
If I would ever have to meet any of your jelly fish, I think it would be the white one, because this one looks like the ones who stings, burns or whatever...but still a great painting.
ReplyDeleteI usually use shades of blue-green, prussian blue, but I loved the combination you made! French ultramarine gave depth to your painting and the jellyfish seems to float. Very beautiful work, my friend. Kisses!
ReplyDeleteI like the gold of the cad orange- it is glowing! Your water has that look of light coming from above also- nice!
ReplyDeleteGreat choice of colors. Very delicate and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! How can something so pretty be so mean?
ReplyDeleteI like the background. Being a diver, it really does remind me of looking up to the surface and seeing the light distorting through the surface ripples! :0)
