Messing about with Greens

I painted a couple of small paintings, both 7x11, just to practice working with greens. It has been a long time since I've done a landscape, and I didn't want to lose the knowledge I had.

    I love my sap green, but mixing your own greens is so much better!

    Dear Pat,
    I like these paintings. Particularly, the first one is so lovely and touchy. I want to loose up my landscapes(*I hate landscapes and get scared to paint it!).

    Pat are great, but the first is more free with a composition more draws up with a delicious smoothness.

    Oh I like them both. The first looks so calm and peaceful and the second looks like an inviting path to follow to the barn.

    There's a nice sense of distance in the first painting, though I would have been tempted to put a little something in the foreground.
