Swamp Heaven

I've had such fun today!

Letting my imagination run wild and trying to paint Kermit in a realistic abstract kind of way.

I borrowed an idea from another Painting Friend, Sharon - who had used cling film and then inked around the design it made. I used watercolour pencil in my work to highlight the design - and I'm really happy with it. Its such FUN :)

If you've never seen Sharon's blog,  go HERE for a real treat.

and here is my painting... Arches Rough 15x11

  10. I really enjoy your experimental work, Pat. Do I gather from all this Muppet madness that you were a BIG fan like me? My favourites were Gonzo and Animal and of course from Sesame Street, Count von Count and Cookie Monster :)

  11. Huge fan, Michael. :)
Someone recently asked us to list our 5 fave films and Muppet Christmas Carol was in there - which kinda shocked them - but there is real brilliance in that film. I loved the interplay between Kermit and Piggy, felt for the "difference" of Gonzo and adored the "I am what I am" of Animal. So wild and free, how could he not be attractive? :) And Pepe, the King Prawn.. hahaaha I have known a few people who were as self absorbed as he :) xx
