Doggy drawing

This is the pencil drawing of the dog I am going to paint next.
I've had to adjust the photo so the pencil shows up, hence the dark edges.

I usually lightly draw an outline sketch so I have the proportions right before I begin to paint. That way I feel more confident that the painted dog will resemble the real life one from the bottom up - if you see what I mean :)
