The Cowgirl Series .. Cowgirl II: After the Kiss

Here's my second cowgirl, painted using the techniques I learned when painting my Sargent :

She's called "After The Kiss" and there's a reason for this.
When I was painting the lips, I smudged the bottom one a little. Mostly the shadow covers it - but as the colour was permanent rose, I couldn't lift it. So I decided to make it part of a story.
And the story is, our Texan cowgirl has just been kissed..

  12. Hi Pat
Sometimes it's the little mistakes we make while painting that turn out to be a good thing such as this! Great title... She is lovely..

Thank you so much for your visit and kind words. I love painting stone work.. I had been thinking about all the ruins I would love to visit one day... This one was from my imagination. I am so happy you enjoyed.

  14. LOL,I love that she has a story. For some reason you have reminded me of a very old movie called "mannequin". It was a silly movie but I loved it. She probably has a similar story.

Ross, I wish I didn't know what to say.. for then we'd never have shared the same pain. Yet that pain and the recovery makes us more human.. another gift from our darling friends xx
