There on Battersea's website, she has her own page as a "Happy Ending"
If you click, you can read her story.
We are so pleased we adopted her.. we've given an older dog a second chance of a good life - and we are rewarded with the most darling companion.
That's a true win-win, then :)
Happy 5th Adoption Day, my darling girl.

Thank you so much, duendes.. we think she's beautiful too :) xx
ReplyDeletePat, your baby girl is adorable and I have pretty much the same story, I adopted Angie from a shelter when she was already 5 years old. I was hesitant thinking she'd already bonded with someone else. An older woman who could no longer take care of her... Well, I did it anyway.
ReplyDeleteAngie has now been with me for 11 years, yes she is 16 and I don't want to even think of whats to come.. I just enjoy having her a big part of my every day..It was not her lucky day, but mine.
ps. some problems with my laptop have kept me from commenting but I;m working on it . BJ
BJ - that's exactly how we feel! It was our lucky day when we adopted Missy :)
ReplyDeleteOur last russell lived to 18, so we had no worries about adopting an 8 year old.. the bonding comes.. maybe not so quickly as a pup, but older rescues give so much love.
Well done to you for adopting Angie.. you lucky human! xx
Happy 5th Adoption Day! Celebrate how lucky you both are to have each other! Blessings come in surprising places.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly do, Maria.
ReplyDeleteWe feel greatly blessed xx

ReplyDeletePat, I'd missed a couple of posts, so I scrolled down and saw that you've been doing some lovely work. "Invisible Friend" made me cry and the cowgirl made me smile.
Happy Dopty day Missy!

ReplyDeleteWe had a lovely day, Missy got two new toys to play with - and both of us home all afternoon and evening. She loved it! xx
Missy looks very smart and cute
ReplyDeleteOh... happy anniversary!! Five years! Don't they just go by too fast! You know... I love puppies and kittens... but I really really love dogs and cats! Except for really big dogs, which it's often good to have a history with, I can never understand people getting tired of these darlings when they outgrow babyhood - I think that's just when they become perfect!
ReplyDeleteBlessings for many many more happy years together!
Ann
PS Our little Edward is going to finally have to have that operation - tomorrow... I'll post about it after he's all well again... too hard to do so now...
Thanks, Elsbeth xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Ann. I hope we have many more, too xx
Will be saying a prayer for Edward and a successful op and recovery. xx
Che sguardo dolce la tua bambina!
ReplyDeleteIl piccolo Pitti è in fin di vita,le speranze di salvarlo sono veramente poche,è nelle mani del buon Dio.
Ciao Pat!!Buona domenica!

ReplyDeleteHi Pat. Thank you so much for your kind words the other day. And too for the poem, On Silent Paws. It was most beautiful and so timely. You are a great animal lover and you understand how special they are and how hard it is to see them go. You are a blessing and i enjoy your blog so much. Keep on keepin on. Ross
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found some comfort in the poem, Ross.
ReplyDeleteI know too well how hard it is when a good friend leaves. I wish you peace and comfort in the coming weeks *hugs*
