Hanging Around

I made a Title Challenge over at Painting Friends, giving everyone the two words "Hanging Around."
The idea is to come up with your own painting that will somehow fit these words.
Feel free to try one yourself, if you'd like :)

Here's my version:

Hanging Around

Arches 140 Rough
6x11 inches

Simple but beautiful. I like the interplay of dark and light values on the coat.

That's nice, Pat, I like the colours you chose! Lovely work!
Please, if you have some time give me your opinion about my blog's new look. I'm afraid it's not very friendly, but nobody tells me...Thanks so much! xx

Ciao Pat, here in Milan, now is raining so your subject is good
for our situation. I look your work and I think that a dress can inspire the imagination of a man or a woman whose go around and around in the day or in the night...
Very , very nice.
Ciao Floriana

Your painting challenges could be quilt challenges. I'll have to think about what I would do if I could find the time.

Using cute for art work may not be apt. But I have to use it here.
It is just so cute. :)

I love simple little studies like this. It's well done too :0) Sometimes I find that dropping other colours in to the wash when wet can create all sorts of added interest too.

Thanks, everyone :)
Glad you liked the painting. It just shows that ordinary household things can make for paintings - and cute ones too :) :)
