Its coming....

Christmas, that is.
So I thought I'd show you a painting I made for a previous Christmas, which was auctioned off to help Russell Refuge - a dog charity who only deal with Jack Russells - my favourite breed.

Jack Doolittle

Jack Doolittle was named after Eliza Doolittle, from the show My Fair Lady ( based on the play Pygmalion) and inspired by the lines from the song:

"All I want is a room somewhere... far away from the cold night air... with one enormous chair..... oh, wouldn't it be lovely?"

So many dogs wanting that same thing.. if you can provide that room, please give it to a rescue dog.

You can find them here in the UK

Terrier Rescue

here in the US

  1. Sorry Pat, you make a very touching plea on behalf of all dogs, but we are unable to help.
I did look at the Battersea web page and we wonder at why these lovely animals can be cast aside.

  2. I know you're not able, Beryl.
I just hope some who are thinking of buying will look at the rescue dogs first.. often given up through no fault of their own - some because of the owner's death, or divorce or even being homeless.
My own girl came from Battersea - she was placed in there after her owner died.
    They all deserve another chance.
