Recently there was a huge swarm of bees that settled on my next door but one neighbour.
This swarm contained thousands of bees and was a mere 80 foot away from my lounge window.
So on advice, we stayed in until they moved on.. on the second day of them being around I was getting a little frustrated, so to take my mind off them, I painted a calm water scene. I hope you enjoy it .

What a lovely distraction from the bees.
ReplyDeletethanks, Beryl xx
ReplyDeleteI really like this painting Pat. I really like how you did the water meeting the sand.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nora xx
ReplyDeleteI've never seen a swarm of bees like that. I hope they've moved on. I have a swarm of wasps in the land next door to us. Every afternoon I hear their group buzzing which, to me, is annoying hearing it lol.
ReplyDeleteThey have moved on now, Arty - thankfully ! :)
ReplyDeleteI am glad they've moved on. I've never seen that before either. How scary!
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of this one. Must have been hard to do while worrying about the bees! How creepy!
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb - I actually painted this calm scene to help me relax over the bees - as I am terrified of the little blighters!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad the bees came and went and what a lovely calm painting they inspired! BTW Pat I can see a beautiful jack in there! :)
ReplyDeletehaha! So can I, Sharon - in the purple section :)
ReplyDeleteHate bees, but love the greenhouse your neighbors have! I want one just like that!
ReplyDeleteoh Dora - that's a conservatory - or I think you might know it as a Florida room? :)
ReplyDeleteEither way, its a sun lounge.
I've been in this neighbour's garden, and she does have a greenhouse, but nothing on that scale .
