There was some pouring involved, some negative painting and some lifting.
I will keep these techniques and you will no doubt see them popping up in my other paintings .

ReplyDeleteSheryl
This looks fabulous with that abstract touch.
ReplyDeleteThank you everyone! I wasn't sure how this painting would be received, because it is almost abstract and quite different to my usual work. But - that's the point of trying new techniques, eh? It has cheered me immensely that you all like it so :)
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend,
ReplyDeletethere is one good point to not being on the computer much...I get to see all stages at once and not impatient waiting!
I am a bit saddened that your book is almost done. I have enjoyed your learning processes, and can tell from your posts that you have enjoyed them as well.
I like the abstract. It's nice to do something away from our norm, isn't it?
Welll .......lovely lovely paintings.. We were just wondering does your puppy Missy help at all with your painting??(hee hee how was that Missy? Now you will have to write a blog about how you are soooo much help to her when she is painting. ) Love Agatha and Archie
ReplyDeleteoh this was only a short stage by stage, Tonya - so you weren't away too long :) Glad you've enjoyed the summer journey with me xx
ReplyDeleteAgatha and Archie - how smart you are! Mummy has promised when the next stage by stage is all finished, the real star of this blog - ME - will be allowed to shine again :)
I agree with Hillbilly Pat, hadn't had chance to look at your blog each day but really enjolyed seeing all the stages at the same time.
