So, what was MissyChief supervising in yesterday's post?
The building of my new summerhouse!
No more packing and unpacking on the dining table - yippee!
Hopefully I will enjoy creating some art and viewing the garden in some gorgeous weather this summer.
Do you have a dedicated space for yourself?

Pat, congratulations on your new studio! It looks great.
ReplyDeleteUntil recently, I had only an art/drawing table in a corner of the living room. However, I have bought a large easel and am slowly setting up a studio on what was my son's bedroom - he is in medical school in another city and comes back only for short visits. The room has a patio door to the backyard and has lots of natural light. It is great to be able to spread my material and not have to tidy up or put away after each painting session.
How lovely, Christiane - access to the garden and lots of natural light. Never having to put away mid session.
ReplyDeleteAll of those are exactly the reasons I wanted a summerhouse :)
I sure do have my own space! It's a must because of all the supplies & such I have on hand & sewing just seems to take up much more room. I enjoy it because I can 'escape' whenever I need to, even if it's just for 5 minutes. :)
ReplyDeleteThe summerhouse is perfect! Missy and Paul did a great job. It's so nice to have your own space for working on your art.
ReplyDeleteI use an extra bedroom. It has a big window that looks out over our backyard.
Pat, as you know my studio is in my basement, but this morning I was thinking how nice it would be to have a space where I could enjoy a view. Someday..Enjoy your new space!
ReplyDeleteI think I would like to hire your supervisor for a bit!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice holiday in your summerhouse!
I am so happy for you Pat. Your studio looks wonderful and will be lovely with all the light.
ReplyDeleteI have a bedroom set up which is great...but having a studio in the garden..WOW what a big plus.
Hope you enjoy your studio and create more wonderful art.
Wonderful! What a welcoming space for you.
