  5. Thanks, Francesco - so glad you like him :)

With rocks, there are many ways, one of my favourites I used here.. make the rock very wet, add in a few different colours and then sprinkle some salt on top. Leave to dry. It may be a little while. When bone dry, remove the salt using your finger. then paint shadows.
    Happy practising. :) xx

  10. Hi Pat, what a original and beautiful watercolor! I like very much the composition, with the rocks "in primo piano" (how do you say in English....front plane, first plane???), and the cow arising from the grass, really beautiful! Ciao and have a good sunday afternoon.

  11. Thank you for the great compliment, Tito!
So glad you like the painting. xx

I would say front plane, or foreground - it doesn't translate well, some phrases are like that. But I understand perfectly "in primo piano" from my younger days in playing the cello in an orchestra. :)

Hope you have a great Sunday too xx

  18. The title of this painting is perfect: the painting does have a dreamlike quality. It reminds me of an illustration in one of my favorite story books when I was a child. I really like this!
