Sometimes I have very definite ideas or requests to paint - and sometimes I just don't!
On those occasions, I create a little set up, draw and paint it.
This painting is one of those, it only took me an hour and a half to paint. Almost a doodle! The time it took gave rise to its name, also.
Passing of the Hours
Only an hour and a half? Wow! You have a gift for "seeing" what you want to transfer to the paper and exactly how it's going to look on the paper... You've captured the serenity of this little scene beautifully.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely. The shadows cast by the set keep it from being still - there is the movement of a hours in it.

ReplyDeleteIt's lovely Pat. I like reading the other comments -- I learn so much -- the shadows now have more meaning to me.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Marie - and that you're learning also. I shall have you painting next :)
