Flower painting V
Now I have painted the flowers, in shades of crimson and ultramarine.
Hopefully this would look attractive to a butterfly!

Flower painting IV
In this stage, I have painted the flower stems and the foreground grasses.
I have also painted around the legs and antennae of the butterfly, to reduce the fat stumps to fine insect legs.

Flower painting II
Here's stage two of the flower painting..
Before I put the background washes on, I masked around the edge of the flowers, their stems and the butterfly.
This was so I could wet the rest of the page and not have any colours run into these parts .
